Year of construction 2010, pressing force 80 tons- 8-fold cross tying system
A machine for special material flows, a new challenge for the OBM team. The customer makes high demands. Plastics, buckets, canisters, barrels, Big Bag´s, RDF, shredder fractions etc. should be pressed into compact bales. There are many reconditioned balers on the market, says Jörg Andresen, sales manager at OBM, but in terms of quality, reconditioned balers show a huge disparity.
In order to press such materials dependable into perfect bales, the focus has to be on functionality, stability, dimensional accuracy and professional overhaul of the components.
According to Andresen, not only the brand, but also the know-how of the neuralgic points that must be taken into account when overhauling are essential for the perfect bale. For many years, our OBM works team has been a guarantor for high-quality overhauled used machines.
Why? - See for yourself....
-
Baler in operation before disassembly and takeover by OBM. -
The baler was cleaned and dismantled down to the base frame. -
The press channel (cover with side swings and channel clamp) was dismantled for overhauling. -
After checking the material thickness of the press floor, we decided to replace the entire substructure of the press channel. -
-
-
All hydraulic lines and electric cables have been removed. -
-
After checking the material thickness of the side walls in the press area, we decided to remove and replace the side walls. -

Welding the new steel substructure from the press channel to the main frame. -
The main frame is in good condition and will be sandblasted, primed and repainted after the welding process. -
The base plate of the twist unit was sandblasted, primed, painted and fitted with a new wear-resistant plastic plate. -
All drill shafts were cleaned, overhauled, re-stored and reassembled. -
The hydraulic tank was completely emptied, cleaned, all service cover seals, oil and air filters renewed and the tank with attachments repainted. -
The hydraulic block was dismantled, disassembled, all seals renewed, the catridge valves checked and partially renewed. -
The press frame is back from sandblasting, priming and painting. The overhauled hydraulic unit has already been installed. -
Rear view of press frame. The two rails for the press ram were also renewed throughout. -
